Michael Fieldson, MS, MBA, PE:
Mr. Michael Fieldson has over 15 years of experience working with SOF as a mechanical engineer, technology developer, and program manager. At SOCOM, he led S&T’s biometrics and TTL efforts and provided SOF technical guidance while leading numerous technology areas including LIDAR, EO/IR imaging, nanotechnology, power and energy, and communication networks. From 2007 to 2017 Mr. Fieldson held numerous
Government positions culminating in his role as the Director for Airborne ISR (AISR). He served as the Systems Engineer and ensured Silent Knight RADAR. Later he created the AISR Directorate by integrating PM-UAS and Manned ISR and established the $1.2B organization’s culture. After leaving Government service, Mr. Fieldson served as Draper’s Director for the SOF business area with P&L responsibility and report directly to the VP of National Security and Space. He led the multi-million-dollar Rapid Prototyping Center (RPC).
Mr. John Fieldson is a subject matter expert in power transmission and maintenance. He was the Transmission Supervisor for the New York Power Authority’s Northern Region with over 40 years of experience. Throughout his career he was qualified as a High Voltage Hotstick Lineman before becoming the Transmission Supervisor. Mr. Fieldson has planned and completed work on approximately 1400+ circuit miles of Transmission lines, including approximately 3400 wood and steel structures, and 15 major substations with voltages up to and including 765kv. He has supervised 3 Wind Farm interconnections, supervised mutual aid for hurricane and snowstorm damage on Long Island, Watertown and Buffalo, NY. He also supervised work during and in the aftermath of the 1998 Ice Storm (considered a 100 year storm) Mr. Fieldson has worked on the ROW Application development team in the use of ArcGIS to improve the computerized NYPA line inspections.
